At Little Tornadoes Crafts, safety is an important part of everything we make. Our products include craft kits, paint your own projects, wooden products, outdoor play items, and other handmade creations.

Please read the information below and always follow the age recommendation, warnings, and instructions provided with your specific product.

Paint Your Own Craft Kits

Our craft kits may include plaster figures, wooden pieces, puzzles, acrylic paint, paint brushes, glitter, magnets, or other small craft components.

Important Safety Information

Adult supervision is recommended during use.
Craft materials are for craft use only and are not intended to be eaten.
Do not place plaster, wood pieces, paint, glitter, brushes, magnets, or other components in the mouth.
Keep small components away from children who may put objects in their mouths.
Wash hands after crafting.
Keep paints away from eyes and mouth.
Do not use craft materials on food, dishes, utensils, or other items intended for food use.
Do not intentionally crush, break, or sand plaster pieces.
Avoid breathing plaster dust.
Discontinue use if a component becomes damaged or breaks into smaller pieces.

Our Crafter's Collection acrylic paint is a water based acrylic craft paint and is identified by the manufacturer as conforming to ASTM D-4236.

Paint Your Own Puzzles

Our paint your own puzzles are designed for creative crafting and may contain multiple individual puzzle pieces.

Adult supervision is recommended.
Keep puzzle pieces away from children who may put them in their mouths.
Puzzle pieces are not food and should never be swallowed.
Do not use broken or damaged pieces.
Keep paint away from eyes and mouth.
Wash hands after painting.
Allow painted pieces to dry completely before handling or storing.

Make Your Own Monster Kits

Our Make Your Own Monster kits may contain plaster figures, paint, brushes, glitter, and/or other small craft components.

Adult supervision is recommended.
For craft use only.
Do not eat or swallow any component.
Keep small pieces away from young children.
Do not intentionally break, crush, or sand plaster.
Avoid breathing plaster dust.
Keep paint away from eyes and mouth.
Wash hands after crafting.
Do not use damaged or broken components.

Magnet Products & Magnet Kits

MAGNET WARNING

Some Little Tornadoes Crafts products contain magnets.

The ceramic magnets currently used in our magnet kits are supplied in packaging marked 14+. Magnet containing products require special attention to safety because swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injuries.

Do not swallow magnets.
Keep loose magnets away from young children.
Do not place magnets in the mouth, nose, ears, or other body openings.
Adult supervision is recommended.
Inspect finished magnets regularly.
Do not use a product if the magnet becomes loose or detached.
Keep loose magnets away from children who may put small objects in their mouths.

If a magnet is swallowed or suspected to have been swallowed:

Seek immediate medical attention.

Multiple magnets can attract each other inside the body and cause serious injuries.

Wooden Products

Little Tornadoes Crafts also creates handmade wooden products, including children's outdoor and creative play items.

Wood products may include picnic tables, mud kitchens, sensory tables, art stands, race tracks, and other handmade creations.

Safety Information

An adult should inspect the product before first use.
Check periodically for loose screws, hardware, damaged wood, or other hazards.
Discontinue use if the product becomes damaged or unsafe.
Keep children away from tools and hardware during assembly.
Use products only for their intended purpose.
Do not allow children to climb on products that are not designed for climbing.
Place outdoor products on a stable, level surface.
Keep products away from hazards such as driveways, roads, fire pits, pools, and other unsafe areas.
Adult supervision is recommended during use.

Outdoor Products

Outdoor wooden products should be inspected regularly for:

Loose hardware
Splintered or damaged wood
Cracks
Loose components
Stability
Weather related deterioration

Do not use a product if it's damaged.

Age Recommendations

Age recommendations vary by product.

Please refer to the individual product listing, packaging, warning label, and instructions for the appropriate age recommendation.

Age recommendations are based on the design and components of the individual product and should always be followed.

Small Parts & Choking Hazard

Some Little Tornadoes Crafts products contain small parts. Small parts may present a choking hazard.

Keep products containing small components away from children who may put objects in their mouths.
Do not allow children to use a product if they are unable to safely handle its components.
Where applicable, follow the specific choking hazard warning and age recommendation provided with the product.

Paint Safety

Our craft kits may contain acrylic craft paint.

For craft use only.
Do not ingest.
Keep away from eyes and mouth.
Do not use on food contact surfaces.
Wash hands after use.
Keep paint containers away from children who may open or ingest them.

General Safety

Little Tornadoes Crafts products are intended to provide creative and recreational activities. No product should be used without appropriate supervision when a child requires assistance based on their age, abilities, or developmental level.

Inspect products before each use when appropriate.

If a product becomes broken, damaged, loose, or otherwise unsafe, discontinue use immediately.
